Rock Bridge's Ryan Schmidt Signs with William Woods
FULTON, MO -- William Woods University head baseball coach Darren Munns announced Wednesday that Ryan Schmidt has signed a letter of intent to continue his education and play baseball for the Owls.
"Ryan is an ideal student-athlete and I'm ecstatic that Ryan has chosen to continue his baseball career at William Woods," said Munns. "His experience in a great high school program will readily prepare him for college baseball. He has demonstrated the ability to excel in big games, and I expect Ryan to have an immediate impact as a freshman."

In addition to excelling on the diamond, Schmidt was also a two-year letterwinner for the Bruins in soccer, helping the team to a third-place finish in the MSHSAA Class 3 Championships in 2011. He also earned first team all-district honors as a junior and second team all-district honors as a senior.
The son of Ron and Karen Schmidt, he intends to major in physical therapy at William Woods.
