ST. LOUIS -- After averaging nearly a double-double in two wins for the 18th-ranked William Woods University women's basketball team, junior Priscila Santos earned the final American Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors of the 2012 calendar year. She averaged 20 points and 9.5 rebounds as the Owls moved to 9-1 on the year.

After leading the Owls to a 65-51 win over St. Gregory's University on Saturday afternoon with a career-high 18 points, she was one of three Owls with 10 or more rebounds in a 66-57 win over AIB College of Business on Sunday. She recorded the first double-double of the year for the Owls with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Currently ranked 18th among NAIA Division I players from the free throw line, Santos connected at a .769 pace over the weekend, hitting 10 of 13 free throws including a 4-of-5 performance against SGU. The performances helped the Owls wrap up their non-conference slate with a 9-1 record.

William Woods begins the AMC portion of the slate on Thursday night, with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff at Benedictine University at Springfield.
