Search Continues for Missing Harrisburg Man
HARRISBURG, MO. - Family and Friends organized a search party Sunday to find any clues explaining the disappearance 34 year-old Charles Dwayne Bell.
Bell, a Harrisburg resident, was last seen on September 15.'
Family members say Bell traveled to Columbia on the last day he was seen. They assume he returned to the Harrisburg area as his cell phone was tracked by towers in the area later that day.
Bell's mother says, "[The searchers] covered Route J, Route E, Highway 124 from Harrisburg to 63, and Benedict Rd."
Bell's family describes him as 6' 2", 240 lbs. He was last seen on his red Ducati motorbike wearing jeans and a red and black jacket.
The family is offering a $10,000 reward for any information about his location.
Bell's family says they think he might have fell off his bike somewhere in the Harrisburg area, so they are concentrating the search along the side of local highways. They are asking land owners to check every square inch of their property as Bell may have been traveling at a high speed which put him far off the road.
Although his motorcycle is yet to be found, they say they are not ruling out the possibility of foul play.
Bell's wife said, "Someone had to have seen him that day and... we just want him found."
The Boone County Sheriff's Department refused to comment on the story until Tuesday.
