Search Under Way for Missing Fisherman in SW Mo.
DUGGINSVILLE, Mo. (AP) - Rescue teams from Arkansas and southwest Missouri expect to resume searching Wednesday for a missing fisherman in Bull Shoals Lake.
KOLR-TV reports the search began after the family of the 44-year-old Missouri man reported Monday afternoon that he failed to return from a fishing trip.
Sheriff Roger Vickers, of Marion County, Ark., says the search was suspended around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Vickers expects divers to return to the lake around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The sheriff says the man's family owns a private dock southwest of Dugginsville, Mo., just north of the Arkansas border. He says the man's boat was found along the shoreline about a mile from the dock early Tuesday.
Crews from two counties, Missouri's Water Patrol Division and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission are assisting.
