Search underway for a missing man in Osage County
OSAGE COUNTY - Authorities have temporarily called off the search for a man who went missing in Osage County.
Osage County Sheriff Michael Dixon said the search would resume on Sunday morning.
Several agencies were searching Saturday night for 30-year-old Cody Rush.
"Upon arrival, sheriff's deputies have been in contact with family members who said that 30-year-old Cody Rush was last seen here at their campsite around 10 o'clock last night," Dixon said.
Dixon said Rush was last seen Friday near the Bonnots Mill River Access. Dixon said the Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisting in the search and had four or five boats in the water Saturday night to help with search and recovery efforts.
Dixon said Rush was camping near the Osage River at a campsite off County Road 416 when he was reported missing.
Along with MSHP boats, Linn Fire Protection District was also responding Saturday, Dixon said.
Dixon said that Cody is approximately 6'2 and 225 pounds. He has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. Dixon said he was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt with jeans.
The department asked if anybody has any information on Rush's whereabouts to please call the Osage County Sheriff's Department.
