Second Man in SW Missouri Restaurant When Truck Hit Dies

NEVADA, Mo. (AP) - A second man who was in a southwest Missouri diner when a semitrailer plowed into more than a week ago it has died of his injuries.
KOAM-TV reports 71-year-old John Becker of Nevada, Mo., died Thursday at Freeman Hospital in Joplin from injuries he suffered when a truck crashed into the Quick Dine Restaurant on Oct. 19, where Becker was a customer.
The crash also killed 54-year-old Joseph Cole of Nevada. Investigators say the truck driver couldn't avoid a car that pulled in front of him, hitting both the car and then the diner.
