Second Shooting Suspect Arrested
On July 6 the Columbia Police Department's Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Boone County Sheriff's Department responded to a Crimestoppers tip about the location of the shooting's second suspect.
Officers went to Dekruyuff's home and found a Blue Audi, matching the suspect's vehicle description. Dekruyff attempted to hide his identity from officers by giving them multiple aliases.
During the investigation officers found a driver's license that did not belong to Dekruyff, and a bag of marijuana. After police confirmed his true identity, it was determined Dekryuff had an active warrant for his arrest for Trafficking Drugs in the second degree out of Clay County, Missouri.
A witness later positively identified Dekruyff as the shooter in the incident at Ash and Sanford, and he was arrested for that incident as well as for an outstanding felony warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing a Government Operation, Armed Criminal Action, and First Degree Assault.
His total bond is $1,500.00, not including the three charges carrying a "to be set" bond.
