Sedalia Health Center Shows Off New Digs
SEDALIA - The Bothwell Healing Arts Center hosted the Sedalia showcase tour Thursday morning. The tour served as a sneak peek at the almost finished three-story building.
Bothwell Representatives said they want to recruit new physicians to the area. They said they regularly bring potential recruits out to visit Sedalia.
"We have a very regulated recruitment program," said Lisa Church, director of marketing and communications. "For example, if they have school-age children, we take them on tours of the schools. If they have particular hobbies, we make sure we pair them up with resources...recreational and pastime opportunities within the community."
According to a press release, the Bothwell groups is looking for 12 to 15 new physicians.
Church explained that the average age of doctors in the area is 55. She said that with an aging workforce, she really hoped more doctors would see Sedalia as a good place to live after the building of the Bothwell Healing Arts Center.
There will be an open house at the new Healing Arts Center from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21. The public is invited to check out the new building. There will be a reception and tours. A speech will be made at 2 p.m.
