Sedalia man arrested for possession of methamphetamine
SEDALIA - Thursday at 2:15 p.m, patrol officers stopped and arrested a man by the name of Gary L. Baker Jr., 38, after witnessing Baker commit a Sedalia-municipal ordinance violation in the area of West 7th Street and South Osage Avenue.
Baker was searched after the violation, and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation by detectives with the Sedalia Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit revealed that Baker was involved with methamphetamine distribution in the Sedalia area.
Baker was arrested for the state charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Transported to the Pettis County Jail, formal charges were filed by prosecutors and Baker was issued a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
As of this article's original publication date, Baker is still incarcerated in Pettis County Jail. Court dates are TBD.
