Sedalia woman arrested for using and selling drugs in front of child
SEDALIA - A Sedalia woman is behind bars after being accused of selling drugs in front of a child.
Crystal R. Collins, 35, was inside her home when officers forced entry through her front door and detained her on March 3. Detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit and the Criminal Investigation Bureau, along with patrol officers, were executing a drug search warrant at Collins's home on the 1100 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
The search revealed that Collins obtained a measurable amount of marijuana, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, drug packing supplies and around $500 that was suspected to be from profit in drug deals.
Evidence gathered concluded that Collins was selling the marijuana and other controlled substances from her home. Additional investigation revealed that Collins had possessed, used and sold the drugs in front of her child.
Collins was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail on multiple charges including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful transaction with a child and child endangerment to the 2nd degree.
Collins is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
