COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department said Friday it arrested a serial burglar late Wednesday night.

Officers arrested Wayne McGill Jr. Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. He was captured on video surveillance pulling into the lot of Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. He then left the animal hospital and drove to Ewers Tires on North Fairview, where he stole some cash and other items.

According to the police department, McGill was also captured on video surveillance committing another burglary at Joe Machens Ford on West Worley.

The department said, McGill stole an undisclosed amount of cash as well as other pieces of property. He admitted to all 3 burglaries.

McGill was arrested for three counts of burglary in the second degree and has a $13,500 bond.
