COLUMBIA - The Missouri volleyball team has continued its winning streak and is a single match away from breaking several records.

That match is this Friday, November 1 against Ole Miss. If the Tigers win, they will tie with the current 26 wins record under coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow. They have already beat the 19-0 record that was set in 1982.

Throughout the 2013 season, several Tigers have broken school and SEC records as the team steadily rose through the rankings from unranked less than a month ago to its current 7th place position.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has not placed Mizzou this highly in the rankings since 2005. In the recently conducted top 25 poll, they are one of just three SEC teams to make the list.

They are the only undefeated team along with Colorado State.

For four consecutive weeks, the SEC honored Mizzou players, and three are in the top 20 for number of kills.

The games this weekend give Lisa Henning, the SEC's leading killer, an opportunity to add the 11 kills to her career in order to break the Mizzou record.

Thousands of fans packed into the Hearnes Center for previous home games, and attendance is again expected to be high for the upcoming Ole Miss and Kentucky matches.

The Friday match starts at 6:30 in the Hearnes Center.
