COLUMBIA- Authorities are investigating an alleged shooting in Columbia near Douglass High School overnight. The shootings reportedly happened at about 1:00 a.m.
It is unclear how many people were involved or what the motivation was behind the incident.
Columbia Police Department is not releasing any information at this time. KOMU reports there was a heavy police presence near the pedestrian bridge at Providence Road.
The Columbia Police Department was at the footbridge taking photos and searching for evidence at 2:45 a.m. when a KOMU reporter arrived at the scene. Officers were still there around 7 a.m.
