ORLANDO, Fla. - Several former Missouri Tigers participated in the first day of the 2014 NBA Summer League season Saturday.

Phil Pressey, Kim English and Jabari Brown had an opportunity to showcase their abilities while fighting for roster spots on their respective teams.

Pressey, who was named to the All-Southeastern Conference first team in his junior year at Missouri, racked up nine points and seven assists for the Boston Celtics as they defeated the Miami Heat 85-77.

English, a leader on the Missouri team that finished with a 30-5 record in the 2011-12 season, scored seven points in 13 minutes of action for the Orlando Magic as they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 83-77.

After going undrafted, Brown was given a chance to play for the Houston Rockets summer league team. Brown displayed his shooting range, tallying six points on two three-point baskets while seeing 18 minutes of action in his first NBA appearance. The Rockets lost to the Detroit Pistons 95-89.

Other Tigers who are scheduled to play in the summer league include Jordan Clarkson, Alex Oriakhi and Marcus Denmon.
