Sheriff's deputy arrested for alleged sexual contact with inmate
VIENNA - Deputies with the Maries County Sheriff's Office arrested one of their colleagues over the weekend after she allegedly had sexual contact with an inmate.
According to the office's Facebook page, Kacee Woodruff has been fired; she had worked with the office since late February. Woodruff's arraignment is scheduled for May 1.
In the post, Sheriff Chris Heitman said, "No one is above the law. Even if you work for me and break the law you will be held accountable for your actions. I have been a supervisor for over 15 years and this is the first time I have ever had to arrest one of my employees."
