Sikeston District Trading Books for iPads
SIKESTON - A southeast Missouri high school is replacing books with iPads.
KFVS-TV reports that starting next school year, every student at Sikeston High School will get an iPad. Teachers will get them, too, and plans call for the entire school district to go to iPads by the start of the 2014 school year.
The district first sought grant money to fund the project called iLearn. When no grant money was available, the school board decided to move ahead, anyway.
