Sistemas de Seguridad en Alta Demanda en Verano

COLUMBIA - Sistemas de seguridad residenciales estan en alta demanda este verano en Mid-Missouri. Algunos expertos de seguridad dicen que el aumento percebido de crimen tiene a algunos residentes preocupados por robos.

"Hemos tenido a tres clients que tienen vecinos quien les han robado," dijo Michele Spry de Midway Communications Security, Inc. "Eso fue suficiene para asustarlos y motivarlos para comprar un sistema de seguridad."

El Detective del Departamento del Sheriff de Boone County Thomas O'Sullivan cree que tener un sistema de seguridad es importante especialmente durante el verano. Dijo que es raro ver un robo en una casa con sistema de seguridad.

"La razon mas grande por la cual ves un aumento en robos durante los meses de verano es la gente se va de vacaciones," dijo O'Sullivan.

Spry dijo que el verano siempre es la temporada mas ocupada. Dijo que ha notado que mucha gente ha llamado asustado y preguntando por una instalacion de sistema de seguridad despues de que les han robado.

Nicole Reed no espero hasta que le robaran primero. Tiene un sistema de seguridad en su casa que le trae paz.

"Sabemos si alguien entra por la puerta, cualquier puerta en la casa, que me tranquiliza porque se que nadie puede entrar sin que nosotros lo sepamos," dijo Reed.

El sistema de seguridad mas basico puede costar hasta $300. Spry dijo que un sistema mas avanzado puede llegar hasta $500. Spry tambien dijo que un simple ruido para avisarle al ladron que la casa esta monitoreada puede ser suficiente para prevenir un robo.
