Small Fire at St. Louis Zoo Causes Little Damage
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A fire at a St. Louis Zoo concession stand damaged the small snack shack Monday afternoon but was quickly doused before spreading.
The zoo reports that the fire broke out just after 12:30 p.m. at a kettle corn concession stand near its south entrance. City firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread further.
No patrons, zoo workers or animals were injured. The zoo remained open, with all exhibits and trains continuing to operate.
