Smoke Forces Plane to Return to Connecticut Airport
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) - Smoke in the bathroom of a Continental Express flight with 52 people on board forced the pilot to return to a Connecticut airport just minutes after taking off for Cleveland.
John Wallace, spokesman for Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn., says the flight returned to the airport at 9:45 a.m. Monday. He has no additional details on the incident.
All 49 passengers and three crew members were directed off the plane and returned to the terminal.
Continental Airlines did not immediately return a call seeking information.
