COLUMBIA - Abandoned cars, snow drifts and snowplows filled Mid-Missouri roads Friday morning after a winter storm buried the Midwest.
More than 20 abandoned cars lined Stadium Boulevard between U.S. 63 and Forum Boulevard shortly after 4 a.m. Even more sat empty along Providence Road between Stadium and Nifong. Drivers even left cars stranded in the middle of turn lanes.
Plows weaved through the cars to clean Stadium and Providence, but a layer of slush still covers most of Stadium. Drivers should go at slow speeds and use caution.
