BOONVILLE - Some residents in Boonville are under a boil advisory Wednesday morning. According to Boonville Public Works Director ML Cauthon, the city found a break in an 8 inch water main Tuesday morning on Sportsman Road.
Workers found a hole in the side of the pipe, repaired it and then turned water back on around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The city put flyers on the doors of about 40 affected households. Residences on Sportsman Road from Radio Hill stretching west to Sale Barn are under a boil advisory.
Also, those living along Sunrise and Sunset Drives as well as Sunlit Circle are advised to boil their water.
The city issued a 48-hour boil advisory while it waits for water sample results. Officials expect to lift the advisory Thursday afternoon.
