Soon-to-be Pro Golfer Wins Phil Collins Invitational
COLUMBIA - Sunday marked the final round of the Phil Cotton Invitational at A.L. Gustin Golf Course. The event featured one of the great Missouri golfers in history, Jace Long, who is about to turn pro in another week.
Jace Long - shot a one under, 69 on Saturday. That was good for a share of the leading heading into the final round of the Phil Collins Invitational. On the 15th hole, Taylor Cox also had a share of the lead heading into the final round. He sinks the par putt here. He would shoot one over, 71 on the day and finish the tourney in 2nd.
15th hole as well, Jace Long sinks the birdie putt. He was rolling in the putts all day. On the final hole, Long misses the birdie putt. He would make par on the hole and win the Phil Cotton Invitational. He shot a 5 under, 65 on the day and won by six strokes.
