POWERSITE, Mo. - Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell says 36-year-old Johnny Dell Bryan was arrested early Friday at a house in Powersite. Officers went to the home after receiving a tip that Bryan was there. After about eight hours of unsuccessful negotiations, officers fired tear gas into the home and Bryan surrendered.
Bryan had been sought since Dec. 12, when he allegedly led Taney and Christian County deputies on a chase through two counties after an assault near Branson.
Bryan is accused of trying to run over a deputy and hitting three law enforcement cars during the chase. He eventually jumped out of the car and fled on foot.
Online records don't indicate that Bryan has an attorney.
