Special Learning Center Hosts Comedian for Benefit
JEFFERSON CITY - The Special Learning Center In Jefferson City hosted comedian Jon Reep Thursday, the winner of NBC's "Last Comic Standing." Reep is performing Thursday night at the center's benefit reception.
Reep toured the center and was able to interact with some of the clients. He said he was touched by the children and believes in the cause. Reep's brother-in-law works with the center and is the contact who invited him for the benefit.
The reception is Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel at 422 Monroe Street. The performance by Reep is at 7:30 pm in the Miller Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $30 for the show or $50 for both show and reception. The event benefit the Special Learning Center Foundation.
The Special Learning Center provides speech and language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, an outreach therapy programs and is a center-based learning program for kids.
