Special Session Boosts Jefferson City Businesses
JEFFERSON CITY- The Missouri Legislature's special session entered its third week Monday.
Downtown Jefferson City businesses are taking advantage of the extra customers.
"We definitely have more business when the legislature is in session," Audrey Johanns, the owner of Cafe Via Roma, said. "We receive a lot of catering orders when it is in session."
Cafe Via Roma also benefited from the length of this year's special session.
"We are seeing more business this year than previous special sessions because this one is longer," Johanns said. "It has been different, usually people are only here a couple of days during the week."
J. Pfinney's Pub also told KOMU it's seeing a boost in business this session.
