The Tiger football team proved themselves against Oklahoma's defense, gaining more than four hundred yards, but getting a loss.
This week, it's the Mizzou defense with a challenge against Texas Tech.
The tigers play against the top passing team in the country.
Tech averages 500 yards through the air per game.
All seven weeks this season, Tech quarterback Graham Harrell has led the Big 12 in passing yards.
The Tigers have been working up a game plan to slow down the Red Raiders and a few of them were nice enough to give the inside scoop.Sean weatherspoon, Missouri's sophomore linebacker said, "...Have a thousand yard receiver...Another reciever who's pretty close to a thousand yards...And you know just got to go out there; you know they're going to throw the ball...Just got to go out there, fit in coverage and just vision and break-in on the ball and make some plays."
Missouri junior linebacker, Van Alxander said,"You know, we want to get out there, get after Harrell Graham...And you know, get him on the ground, get some turnovers and basically get the ball...You know, our philosophy now is all about the ball." Missouri football coach, Gary Pinkle said,"When you play an offense like that, if you make them execute their way down the field and not give them big chunks of yardage, then chances are-hopefully, that you're going to make them make every play for 10, 11 or 12 plays to get down the field."
Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook calls the Hearnes Center "the dungeon". He doesn't like the lighting.
Mizzou held "Can the Huskers night" hoping to help the food bank by allowing fans to bring two canned goods to get in for free.
Mizzou hosts Nebraska tomorrow night, 6:30 at the Hearnes Center.
This year, Nebraska comes to Columbia as the number one ranked team in the nation.
They're 16-0 and only lost one game all season.
The tigers fixed a sinking season a couple of weeks ago, after losing four straight to start big 12 play. They are now the winners in their past five matches and love the home court advantage...
