Spring Showers Could Stall Crops
"We thought we weren't going to have enough moisture back in December and January," said Anderson. "But since then, we've had adequate supply. I wouldn't say there is a surplus, but its adequate out here."
Adequate for some corn growing, but that will change if there's rain this week.
"It all depends on the sunshine, if we get 1/2 inch of rain and then we get a couple days of sunshine, you can go back to the field pretty quick," said Anderson.
Anderson says farmers learn to deal with what mother nature gives them.
"One thing about it, we don't worry about things we can't control," said Anderson.
But, he hopes the next few days will be dry.Anderson says he thinks most farmers will begin planting corn next week. But, really, it just all depends on how much rain we get.
