Spring Takes a Break on Columbia Students
COLUMBIA - Columbia Public Schools may be on Spring Break but the weather decided not to cooperate with them. Cosmo-Bethel Park was almost empty Monday evening with Daryl Forte and her three sons the only ones on the playground.
After a day of being cooped up indoors, Forte said an evening at the park was just what her boys needed.
"Little cold to be out here for Spring Break but we wanted to get outside and get some fresh air," Forte said. "For Spring Break we had hoped for a little bit warmer weather but we need more coats." The boys pulled on their sweatshirts and jackets and enjoyed a game of freeze tag at the park before heading home.
Columbia Public Schools are on Spring Break through Friday but the forecast isn't expected to break through the forties until Saturday.
