KIRKWOOD, MO — Two men are in custody and accused of stealing gold football championship rings and other items from the home of a St. Louis Rams coach.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/13lKyQq ) that the New Year's Eve break-in occurred at the Kirkwood home belonging to Rams tight ends coach Rob Boras. Police say the residents weren't home at the time, but said the stolen items included electronics and three gold NCAA football rings and one gold NFL championship ring.

Police didn't provide any information about the victim, but Rams spokesman Artis Twyman says it was Boras. Twyman says Boras isn't commenting about the incident. Twyman also says he didn't know what had happened to the jewelry or if any had been returned.

The suspects are being held on $50,000 bond.
