St. Louis man charged with pointing gun at officers
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 21-year-old St. Louis man is charged with pointing a gun at officers while a child was in the car and near an assault rifle.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Gregory Mills Jr. is jailed on $50,000 cash-only bail on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, child endangerment and resisting arrest. His public defender, Katherine Hummel, told The Associated Press she couldn't immediately comment.
Charging documents say Mills pointed a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun at an officer, while in his car at his home Wednesday. He is accused of screaming at two officers and refusing to exit his car. He was arrested after a struggle.
Police say there was an unbuckled toddler in the car and that a loaded AR-15 assault rifle was within her reach.
