ST. LOUIS - A weekend music festival in St. Louis drew thousands to Forest Park but ended in frustration for some fans that left LouFest Sunday night to find their cars burglarized.
KMOV-TV reports that city police are investigating several vehicle break-ins reported in the park overnight. The TV station says it found at least 15 cars burglarized in the park. Ten were located along Clayton Road and another five on Grand Avenue. Police have not released details on the number of victims or the items taken.
A string of late July break-ins near the park's Muny amphitheater prompted the theater to hire additional off-duty police officers to bolster security before its season concluded.
