St. Louis Officer Hurt in Accident
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis police officer is hospitalized for evaluation after a driver ran a stop sign and struck her patrol car.
The accident happened about 1 a.m. Monday. The officer's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police say the officer was stopped at an intersection when another vehicle failed to stop at a sign and slammed into the patrol car, then ended up on a sidewalk. Two men in the car got out and ran. Both were arrested.
Names of the suspects were not released pending formal charges. The officer's name has not been released.
