St. Louis Police Chief's Son Gets 10 Years in Prison
ST. LOUIS - The son of St. Louis County's police chief will serve nearly ten years in federal prison for bank fraud and identity theft. Chief Jerry Lee's son, Christopher Lee of suburban Rock Hill, also was ordered to pay more than $58,000 in restitution to financial institutions and credit card companies. Last week, US District Judge Henry Autrey sentenced Lee to 118 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Lee filed a notice yesterday that he would appeal. Prosecutors say Lee has been convicted 14 times since 1993. Chief Lee declined to comment.
