St. Louis police: Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver
ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police are searching for a motorist who fled after hitting and killing a pedestrian.
Investigators say the man was killed by a vehicle shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday in north St. Louis.
The victim's name and a description of the vehicle were immediately released.
KMOV-TV reports that eight St. Louis pedestrians have been hit by vehicles so far this year. Four of those victims died. Last year, seven pedestrians were injured by vehicles in the city.
Tuesday night's hit-and-run came just two days after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in St. Louis. There's no immediate word on any arrests or charges in that case.
