ST. LOUIS - A 5-year-old boy is in protective custody after he was found wandering alone with his dog at a St. Louis grocery store late at night.
The boy told workers at the Schnucks store in south St. Louis that his name is Noah. A security guard saw the boy going in and out of the store about 11:15 p.m. Thursday.
The boy told store workers that he and his dog were hungry, but he didn't know his last name or where he lives.
Employees took the child and dog in and gave them something to eat.
Authorities are searching for the parents.
