St. Louis unveils multimedia bid to boost pride, image
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A new marketing campaign is meant to promote pride in the St. Louis region nearly a year since the police shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson fueled unrest and battered the area's image.
Regional leaders are set to unveil the multimedia effort during a news conference Thursday morning in Forest Park, one of St. Louis' gems.
The campaign is to feature television, print and radio ads featuring St. Louis-area celebrities, including Bob Costas, Joe Buck, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Ozzie Smith and Isaac Bruce.
The effort looks to encourage area residents to share their positive St. Louis experiences in their own social networks.
