St. Scholastica Beats Westminster College
DULUTH, MN - The Westminster College football team lost 29-12 to St. Scholastica on Saturday in an Upper Midwest Conference battle which also served as the Saints homecoming game.
The Blue Jays (5-2, 4-2 UMAC) trailed the entire game and were held to a season-low 149 yards including merely five rushing yards, had a school record seven turnovers, and trailed the entire game.
Sophomore quarterback Scott Rodgers completed six of his eleven pass attempts for 69 yards and threw four interceptions before he was pulled from the game and replaced by junior Kurt Gould.
The play of the game was a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown by Blue Jays senior Shane Harris, which marks a school record. He also had seven tackles in the game.
Westminster is at home against MacMurray on October 22nd
