Staffing Professional Admits to Fraud

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - A St. Louis County man faces sentencing in November after pleading guilty to mail fraud and aggravated identity theft for a scheme that defrauded his employer of more than $400,000.
The U.S. Attorney's office in St. Louis says 51-year-old William Lubker pleaded guilty Tuesday for defrauding Medstaff Locums, a medical staffing company based in Chicago, by placing phantom employees. Federal prosecutors say Lubker kept a portion of the payments made by Medstaff Locums to the phantom employees.
Lubker also admitted that he misused the name and social security number of a person as one of his phantom professionals. He must pay back all of the money and has forfeited items bought with it, including a Rolex watch and three firearms.
