State Rep. Rob Vescovo elected as Majority Floor Leader
JEFFERSON CITY - The House Republican Caucus elected a new Majority Floor Leader for the Missouri House of Representatives Monday.
State Rep. Rob Vescovo, R-Arnold, was selected to replace state Rep. Mike Cierpiot, R-Lee's Summit, who was elected to the state Senate after a Nov. 7 special election.
"I’m excited to work with Speaker Richardson and the members of the leadership team to continue our efforts to make Missouri an even better place to live, work, and raise a family,” Vescovo said.
Rep. Vescovo was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2014 to serve Jefferson County. He has served as vice chair of the House Economic Development Committee and the Committee on Fiscal Review, along with the House Select Committee on Local, State, Federal Relations and Miscellaneous Business.
"We have an important session ahead of us and I am ready to work hand-in-hand with my fellow House members to advance the common sense reforms that will help working class Missouri families in all parts of our great state," he said.
Vescovo will start his new position when the General Assembly reconvenes on January 3, 2018.
