COLUMBIA (AP) -- An annual celebration of women in film comes to Stephens College in Columbia this weekend

The theme of the fourth annual Citizen Jane Film Festival is "Cirque du Cinema." The festival features movies made by women.

Organizers chose the circus theme for its historical role as a home for women who helped break societal barriers more than a century ago.

The festival begins Friday and ends Sunday at the Columbia women's college and features workshops, panel discussions and appearances by directors, production staff and other movie
insiders.
