Stepping Up To The Plate
The University of Missouri baseball team partnered with Heart of Missouri Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, to hold a baseball clinic.
Boys ages seven to twelve got all kinds of baseball tips from the experts.
"The kids seem to really enjoy it and it's a really great fundraiser for us and it really gets our name out there. It serves a great cause and it's a really fun thing to do for the kids, something different," CASA Program Director Liz Beasley said.
The event raised money to help CASA care for foster children when they go to court. CASA expects the clinic to raise roughly $5,000.
The event costs $40. Another clinic is planned for next Monday.
