Police said workers arriving Monday at the Coca-Cola plant in Bolivar found the man stuck in the vent, his legs on top of the roof. A bag near his feet carried break-in tools, including a crowbar and pliers.
Jason Bibeau, 23-year-old, of Urbana is charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree property damage. He was jailed in Polk County on $25,000 bail.
Records show Bibeau told police he got on the roof by placing a PVC pipe against the building and climbing it. He later "ripped out a vent," tried to climb through it and got stuck. An official at the bottling company told police the damages would exceed $800.
