Students Speak Against Controversial Costumes
ATHENS, OHIO - Ohio University students have launched a campaign to make people think twice about controversial Halloween costumes.
The students feel that costumes imitating minority groups is racist. The group, Students Teaching About Racism in Society, was expected to put up posters around campus Wednesday. Some of the costumes the group's speaking out against are ones where people dress up as terrorists, illegal immigrants, or gangsters.
