COLUMBIA - An 86-year-old woman turned herself into the Columbia Police Department Tuesday afternoon.

Marian M. Ohman was arrested for leaving the scene of the accident after a hit and run was reported on the 100 block of South Garth Avenue Monday evening. She was later released on a summons. The female victim in the accident was loading children into her vehicle when she was hit by a car traveling north on Garth. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
