Suspect in Jail for Lake of the Woods Burglary
COLUMBIA - The Boone County Sheriff's Department arrested a man who was in jail Thursday on suspicion of burglary, stealing and resisting arrest stemming from an incident Wednesday at a home in the Lake of the Woods area.
A judge set 20-year-old Ty'Ihonn Riley's cash only bond for $50,000.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary in the 5500 block of Sing Drive. Deputies found a Dodge Charger in the area registered to Riley. Deputies then tried to pull him over. Deputies followed the car, but lost sight of it. They later found the car unoccupied near the intersection of Lamp Lane and Lightview Drive.
Detective Tom O'Sullivan said several items believed to be stolen from the house on Sing Drive were found in Riley's registered vehicle, linking him to the burglary.
O'Sullivan said there is believed to be at least one other suspect related to the burglary who was still at large.
