Suspect is apprehended after a nearly two hour long car chase
CALLAWAY COUNTY - Law enforcement agencies said they arrested a suspect Sunday afternoon, after a nearly two-hour car chase that spanned through various counties.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it stopped a driver outside of Eastville. The driver did not pull over, and sped off eastbound on I-70.
Law enforcement set up a spike strip once the driver entered Montgomery County about 21 miles later.
Authorities said the driver hit two law enforcement vehicles and kept driving.
It was not until the driver reached Wentzville, 42 miles later, that the chase ended.
The chase began at 1 p.m. and finished at 2:50 p.m. according to The Missouri State Highway Patrol. No law enforcement officers were hurt but the suspect was in custody Sunday afternoon and was being examined for possible injuries.
