Talent Helps Fund Research
The Missouri Theater provided the backdrop for the event while a variety of talents were showcased to raise money. The women of Delta Sigma Theta sorority want to provide the public with more knowledge concerning a new type of AIDS virus.
"Well there is a super virus, a new strand that not many people know about. It's a new strand of HIV that if you get it you will automatically die within six months. There is no cure, there is no medicine, there is no antibiotic for it now. And so we want to educate people about that," a sorority member said.
The event had a variety of performances including singing, dancing, piano playing and even poetry.
