Teen Asking Neighbors to Change Pickup Truck Rule
WILDWOOD (AP) - A suburban St. Louis teenager is fighting for the right to park his pickup truck in his family's driveway, despite a subdivision rule against it.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 17-year-old Matt Perry worked two jobs to save the $8,500 needed to buy his two-tone 1965 Ford F100 more than a year ago.
His parents park their cars in the garage so he keeps the truck on the driveway of the family home in Wildwood. Neighbors complained, citing a rule prohibiting pickups from being parked overnight more than four times a year. The family could face a $25-a-day fine.
Perry is spending his spring break collecting signatures to change the rule.
