Ten Tiger Softball Players Selected to the SECs Spring Academic Honor Roll
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Mizzou softball had 10 student-athletes named to the 2013 Spring Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
SEC Commissioner Mike Slive made the announcement Tuesday.
Recognized Tigers included: seniors Nicole Hudson (Webb City, Mo.), Jenna Marston (St. Louis, Mo.), Lindsey Muller (Stilwell, Kan.) and Chelsea Thomas (Pleasantville, Iowa); juniors Brianna Corwin (Kansas City, Mo.) and Mackenzie Sykes (Blue Springs, Mo.); sophomores Kelsi Jones (Carmel, Ind.), Kelsea Roth (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and Ashtin Stephens (Blue Springs, Mo.) and redshirt freshman Alyssa Cousins (Carrollton, Texas).
Mizzou was one of just five squads in the SEC to have at least 10 softball student-athletes named to the honor roll.
The 2013 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2012 Summer, 2012 Fall and 2013 Spring terms. A total of 1,247 student-athletes from the SEC were named to the spring honor roll.
