The Avett Brothers To Headline Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival
COLUMBIA - Organizers of the Roots N Blues N Barbecue festival announced their first round of headline artists for the 2014 event Thursday night.
The Avett Brothers will headline the September music festival at Stephens Lake Park.
John Prine and daughter of Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash, are also scheduled to headline the 8th annual festival.
The festival moved from downtown Columbia to Stephens Lake Park in 2013 and attracted 25,000 fans from across the country.
In 2014, Roots N Blues N BBQ will run Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28.
The Thumper Entertainment group said other artists scheduled to perform are Lake Street Dive, David Wax Museum, Jason Isbell formerly of The Drive By Truckers, Trampled By Turtles, two-man thump-machine The Flood Brothers, and The Hooten Hallers.
Discounted tickets can be bought through April 30 online and at The Blue Note box office.
